  • I lived in Biloxi, Mississippi for 9 months. I agree with Bimmer! Besides, such ill thought out "government control over individual rights" is everyone's business! I guess conservatives are only against big government when it comes to the wealthy and corporations. Seems a bit hypocrytical to me.

  • This proposal is nothing less than bizarre. The religious right in this country are stepping well beyond what is reasonable and rational. I don't appreciate the religious right imposing their interpretation of Christianity on me and anyone else that doesn't agree with their narrow minded views.

  • I can see the great people of New Hampshire react to a 9 percent sales tax. They don't have a sales tax there. Move south slightly to Massachusetts and ask the people there how they would like to pay a 9 percent Federal sales tax on top of their current Sates sales tax.

  • Harry Reid voted yes but had to change it to a no vote once he new they couldn't get the 60 votes needed to debate the bill in order to reintroduce the bill later. It's a Parlimentary procedure used by ALL Senate Majority Leaders (from either party).
